Preschool thru Grade 1: God saves His people. Grades 2 and 3: God saved Moses because He had a purpose for him. He has a purpose for you too. For the younger children, the message evolves further from the God made families series, to God saves His people. Make sure you repeat the message many times during the lesson.

Just like Moses, God knew he would deliver his people from Egypt, and do many other great things.

Send the "God saved Moses" Take Home Sheet home with the children to encourage parents to discuss the message during the week.

It includes a poster at the bottom that the children can color and hang on their wall or refrigerator. Preview of the lesson: Some people like to do craft time first and story time second and some like to switch it around. I like the first option, myself.

Everyone has a need for "alone time" once in awhile. Also, sending home the coloring pages with the Take Home sheet provides parents with much needed help in reinforcing the lessons.

You can make a nice little booklet each week with the take home sheet on top -- I promise that most parents will appreciate the effort! Have the children use crayons, markers, yarn and whatever other materials such as wiggly eyes or buttons you have available to personalize their name tag.

Make the Baby Moses paper craft. By using the black and white template the children can color most of the craft themselves. It might be neat to glue real grass or a cat tail to each of the crafts. Depending on the amount of time you have allow the children to draw baby Moses on a separate piece of paper and they can add him to the basket later on.

This is a great lesson plan. I will be using this in my lessons for next week with my Chinese Young Learners. They would love this. I have used Mr Men/Little Miss series to get them do some creative writing before using the pictures as a prompt.
